Steve plays an important role in shaping professional development and instructional practices across the trust. His responsibilities include designing and delivering CPD programmes, as well as providing instructional coaching to enhance teaching effectiveness. As the English Lead, Steve has been at the forefront of the redesign of the writing curriculum, placing a strong emphasis on sentence construction to foster improved literacy outcomes.

In addition to these roles, Steve serves as the ITT Lead Mentor, where he supports the development of trainee teachers and their mentors, working closely with the Ambition Institute’s teacher training programme. His commitment to developing educators is complemented by his involvement as an English SLE and facilitator for the NPQLL, along with his contributions to the Leicestershire SCITT, where he creates and delivers training content.
