Rise Multi-Acadamy Trust hosts first Governance Conference.
On Tuesday 19th September, Rise Multi-Acadamy Trust hosted their first Governance Conference at Belgrave St Peters CE Primary School.
The focus for the event, was strengthening governance at every level in the trust, through greater shared understanding. Local governors were engaged in a number of practical tasks through the conference, including beginning to design self-evaluation tools.
This event brought together the governing committee members from across the 23 schools who make up the Rise family. They came together to take part in important discussions for the long-term visions of the Trust and each school.
Stephen Adshead, Chair of the Board started the conference with a welcome and prayer.
Key speaker Malcolm Trobe an independent education consultant who specialises in leadership, governance and strategic planning delivered a speech on the future educational landscape, bringing context to work of governance at Rise. His speech included information regarding the future of pupil numbers across the country and how the projected reduction could impact on ongoing viability of some schools. He also shared his wisdom and knowledge of how high-quality governance is a key in enabling our schools to flourish and succeed.
